In this video, I'm excited to show you three things that can dramatically improve your live stream concert performances. With the pandemic pushing musicians towards live streaming, I've noticed a lot of us are just setting up a camera in our living spaces without much thought to the visual aspect. I want to share tips to enhance the visual appeal of your live performances.
First up, lighting. I use what are commonly known as cowboy lights, or umbrella studio lights. I have a pair, and they've been game-changers for the quality of my videos, including those on my instructional site, thedaofguitar.com. Good lighting can make a huge difference, making your stream look crisper and more professional. They're not just for videos; they're great for taking promotional photos or boosting your social media presence too.

Next, backdrops. They add a professional touch and can really enhance the look of your stream, helping to keep the viewer's focus on you. There's a range of options available, and you don't have to spend a lot. Even a simple backdrop can prevent your space from looking cluttered and distract viewers from your performance.
Lastly, a backdrop stand. It's adjustable and can hold the backdrops I use for different types of videos. This stand is a small investment that, combined with good lighting and backdrops, can significantly elevate the look of your live streams.
All these items together cost about $120, depending on the backdrop you choose. It's a relatively small investment that can take your live streaming appearance to a new level, making your performances more engaging and encouraging viewers to tip more since you're offering a more visually appealing experience.
If you're interested in improving your live stream concerts, these three tips can make a big difference. And if you like what you see, don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more tips and tricks. See you in the next video!
